Marrs Green is the world favourite colour!! How did the world vote for this colour? An online survey receiving 30,000 submissions conducted by a paper company GF Smith. The colour was named after the lady who originally picked the colour Annie Marrs, who was inspired by the Scottish landscape and the River Tay combining deep green hues with a tinge of blue. The news of the “World’s favourite colour” was announced in Hull, this year’s UK City of Culture, via an explosion of paper helicopters over the city’s Humber Street.
